"Let's do what we love and do a lot of it."
Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs wise words to inspire a special Easter celebration. It's all getting very colourful and fun here at AP HQ right now with our Easter tablescape extravaganza. Never one to not pull out all the stops, Easter really is the time to play. Whether it's lunch with family or friends it's a great excuse to make a show stopping effort. It's also perfect for any of you like minded maximalist out there. Let's have fun!
Here are some of my top tips....
Tip one - a dried flower wreath. If you're after something a little different that will add a burst of colour, a wreath is the one for you. Perfect to pop onto the kitchen door or above the dining table. And most importantly will still look eye catching for the rest of the year.
Tip two - it's all about making money stretch a bit further right now so if you're planning on sending your Mum (*ahem* or yourself) a beautiful bunch of blooms, it really is the time to consider dried and preserved flowers that will last over a year! Without any single use plastic either, these really are the ideal choice to spread the happy factor that bit longer. Plus there's no wilting or water pong after a week.
Tip three - get your Easter tablescape extravaganza on! The key point here is to have fun, mix n match, clash, be playful and just go for it. Mixing vintage with independent brands, flowers, candles. Anything goes. The more the merrier, see my tablescape images for inspiration and enjoy!
Tip four - it's always a good idea to bring a pop of happy to your mantelpiece, so if a tablescape isn't the one for you why not give this a whirl. Grab your favourite vintage candle stick holders and fill them with an array of sustainable candles by British Colour Standard, then select a lovely colourful bunch of dried flowers and pop in a bold statement vase and hey presto, Easter has arrived.
Hope you all have a wonderful time with friends and family.
Love Natasha xx
